  • There is tangible risk of the current Hamas/Israel conflict escalating and some major oil producing countries becoming directly involved in combat.
  • A larger risk premium in oil prices appears warranted, particularly given the unwinding of Saudi Arabia/Russia oil cuts now looks less likely at year end, and Iranian oil export volume growth is likely to stall.
