James Macaulay

I joined Morgans in 2005 and worked for more than 10 years in the Corporate Finance team, reaching the position of Director and Head of Brisbane Corporate before joining the dealing room in 2016. Prior to joining Morgans I was a Solicitor in the Corporate Advisory team at McCullough Robertson.

Investment Style

Through my legal and corporate finance experience, I have developed the skills to undertake deep, bottom-up analysis of individual companies. I have a preference for buying reasonably priced, quality companies, run by passionate and capable management, with low debt and growth potential. I invest significant time in meeting with the management of companies and trying to identify those which are "below the radar" of the broader investment community.
