Growing up in Port Macquarie, I used to drive past the Morgans office and, for some reason, thought it would be an interesting place to work. As life worked out, my career and lifestyle choices meant I moved back to Port Macquarie, and working for Morgans became a reality.
The great thing is that the move from a capital city hasn't affected what I can do for clients and how I can help them.
What attracted me to Morgans was the depth of experience and knowledge of the team. We have 16 advisors and are continuing to grow. For a regional firm, that is a significant team, one that rivals larger city practices in terms of expertise and resources. The business continues to build a team of leading professional minds in all financial planning fields which the broader advice team can leverage, and clients benefit from on a day-to-day basis.
Being licensed through Morgans allows me to provide the sophisticated advice that I provided in the city but in a regional setting. I can continue to deliver the desired outcomes for clients while enjoying a 15 minute coastal drive to work, watching whales breach during migration.
One of the key mantras of Morgans Port Macquarie is to support our clients throughout their life journey, which could be a multi-decade promise. Now that I am established within the business, looking forward, one of the most exciting professional opportunities for me is the ability to provide market leading career pathways for aspiring graduates locally, within a dynamic and growing industry. Our market leading 'Advisor Pathways Program' provides the opportunity for local kids to kick start their career in financial services, which is something that wasn't available when I was growing up.
