To facilitate this, here at Morgans Port Macquarie we have a highly knowledgeable team offering expertise across a broad range of areas including Superannuation (Industry, Retail and Self-Managed Super Funds), Tax Planning, Estate Planning, Stockbroking & Portfolio Management (including Strategic Asset Allocation), Centrelink Strategies, Life & Personal Risk Insurance, and Aged Care.

Being a Financial Planner for me combines my love of finance, strategies, and intricate knowledge with helping and communicating with people.

The conversation a Financial Planner has with their client involves coaching, support and assurance, and working together to achieve their lifestyle objectives via strategic advice and an ongoing relationship.

Not only do Financial Planners have a relationship with their clients, but here at Morgans Port Macquarie we encourage and make it a major part of our role as Financial Planners to form relationships with other like-minded professionals in order to work together for our existing and future clients.

This is key for getting the best outcome for our clients, as Financial Planners essentially “bring the party together”, forming your own personal team. For example, while we have a knowledge of Tax Planning and Estate Planning, we involve relevant professionals who specialise in these areas (whether that be an Accountant or Solicitor) with the goal of ensuring you are receiving the highest quality advice in all aspects of your situation.

Our role is strongly relationship focused. It would be impossible to be in this profession if you weren’t passionate about people and making genuine relationships – it just doesn’t work.

This relationship works both ways. Our first appointment is at our cost, allowing us to have a discussion to see if we are the right people to help you, or identify another relevant professional may be better suited to meet your needs, without you incurring a cost before having an opportunity to find out how we can help you. It also allows you, as the client, to see whether you “click” with your potential adviser. It is a long-term relationship built on trust, and both parties need to be comfortable sharing information and sometimes having tough conversations.
