James Macaulay is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Morgans Financial Limited, Australia’s largest national full-service retail stockbroking and wealth management firm. Morgans supports a network of more than 500 qualified financial advisers who deliver financial advice and investment solutions from 56 locations across Australia.
James joined Morgans in 2005 as a member of the Corporate Advisory team where he advised companies on ASX listings, equity capital and M&A. In 2016 he established himself as an Investment Adviser, providing investment advice and wealth management to individual clients. Since then, he has held senior roles including Head of Private Wealth and Deputy CEO. In these roles, he helped strengthen the firm’s advisory capabilities and support the ongoing development of one of Australia’s largest and most respected adviser networks.
With more than two decades of experience across financial services, James leads the firm’s national strategy, growth agenda and adviser network. Before joining Morgans, he practised as a solicitor, giving him strong foundations in governance, regulatory frameworks, and client advocacy.
